Hillary Held Hostage?

Friday, November 30th, 2007

Thankfully, no, Hillary is fine, even if I’m not going to vote for a particular candidate, I would never want to see harm come to them, and I’m sure you feel the same.

I just got home home from work, and the story about the hostage situation in New Hampshire is all over the news. I’m watching as they release yet another hostage, about 5:45 pm EST. How the story will end, I don’t know, but this appears to be someone who is mentally confused taking advantage of a high profile person to make a point. What that point is, I don’t know. We just know a name (or so they say), that he’s recently been divorced (if he is the guy they think he is), and his children are standing there on the street corner watching what develops. My heart goes out to the children, whenever something like this happens, it isn’t just about the messed up person that is doing what they are doing, it goes beyond that. They just said he’s been drinking a lot, living in the woods, and told his son to watch the news today. BUT, the media can be quick giving out information and within a short period of time, everything can change.

I’m off to make dinner, and hope this story ends better than it could, and the man and family receive the help and support they need.

Hmmm, Having Trouble with the Videos

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

I have been putting up videos, Huckabee stopped showing today, at least for the moment, and I wasn’t too happy with the lack of clothing in one of the videos I saw come on the screen on the Hillary Clinton post…I mean it wasn’t Hillary, but a woman who appeared to have forgotten to put on her blouse before she did her recording, could have been worse, but still, I’m still working through this, and hope you’ll bear with. I want a clean site here, and if it means removing the videos, I will. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can control content better, let me know!

Have a great day…be back later!

Mike Huckabee ~ Preacher to President?

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

Mike Huckabee has me fascinated right now, he’s making the news a lot, and he seems to be doing and saying all the right things. It’s still early, but I’m keeping my eyes on him, at the moment…knowing that things can change in a flash. If the google spiders are working in my favor, the following video should be about Mike Huckabee.

TIP: If you don’t like the video you’re watching, just refresh your browser and a new video will appear.

Confessions of a Rush Limbaugh Fan’s Housewife

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

I figured it was about time that I spilled the beans. Yep, my dear husband, the inspiration for this blog, is a FANATICAL fan of the man, Rush Limbaugh. So that probably tells you a LOT, doesn’t it?

It’s an obsession that’s been going on for years…he speaks Rush. Yes, I have listened to Rush with Paul enough to know the language…I’ll ask a political question, and Paul will answer, and there’s a distinct tone in the way that he answers that says “he heard this on Rush today”.

I guess I can’t complain, though, for a few years, for Father’s Day, I gave him the gift of Rush. I gave him “Rush 24/7″ so he can watch Rush, download Rush to listen to while he walks, and enjoy Rush, Rush and more Rush. This year, for just one year, I thought I’d get him something else for Father’s day…well the withdrawal pains were so intense after only a couple months, that he renewed the subscription for himself. Honey, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry to have put you through all that pain, and will be sure to renew him the next time, okay?

By the way, Rush, if you ever find you way to this humble little blog, I thought it was GREAT what you did with that Harry Reid smear letter, I watched the bidding to the very end. Thanks for supporting and being part of such a wonderful cause! Oh, and I’m sorry to put your post above Hillary Clinton’s, I know how that must make you feel, but hope I redeem myself with the next post, and I guess it’s better being above than below.

Hillary Clinton and Her Bill

Wednesday, November 28th, 2007

I thought it would be a learning experience…or fun…depending upon what the google spiders give us, to add video for some of the candidates, and hey, google, how do I get rid of those anti-Bush ads that keep popping up in my google ads?

Since Hillary Rodham Clinton seems to be the one to beat, or so they say, and her husband, Bill is a former President, I thought I’d start with them. I hope you enjoy…and don’t forget about the CNN/YouTube Republican Debate tonight where the public has asked the questions, and the candidates will answer…see my previous post for more information.

TIP: If you’re bored with a video that’s showing now, just refresh this page and a new one will replace it.

YouTube Presidential Debates…Have You Seen Them?

Tuesday, November 27th, 2007

I must have been a little too into the holiday weekend, it lasted a week, but I’m back.

I’m also slow on the uptake regarding the debates that have been coordinated between CNN and YouTube, great idea! Tomorrow night they will cover the Republicans…questions are presented by anyone in video format, and the responses will be presented on CNN Wednesday night, 8 pm ET. You’ll also find a link to a recap on the Democratic debate at the YouTube Debates site.

For a time I’m reserving my opinions, I’m leaning in a direction, and will post it eventually, but for now, check out the YouTube Debates web page.

Citizen Jane on Shephard Smith Today

Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

I was listening to my “Tivo’d” recording of Studio B with Shepard Smith (he also does The Fox Report on FOX News Channel) and he interviewed a woman who has an interesting blog called Citizen Jane Politics, a Modern Girls’ Guide to picking Leaders of the Free World.

I’m still fairly undecided, (though things are coming a bit clearer over time) so I was particularly taken in by the “Compare Your Candidates” link, as I haven’t seen many side-by-side comparisons. I also found her post, and the topic of today’s interview, interesting, what makes a candidate likeable, electable, and capable. Stop by and visit Jane at her site, you won’t be disappointed!
