Defending Sarah Palin

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

The attacks are out of control, and I hope an embarrassment to the Democratic party, as I can’t imagine they are coming from Obama’s campaign, at least I hope not.  If it is true that when you’re on the right side of things you can expect attacks, Sarah Palin must be on target!  But I am disgusted, how childish have people become?

I understand that John McCain and his campaign are very upset by all of this and have the following plans:

  • A memo addressing the outrageous questions and false reports
  • Ad coming out in her defense at around noon today.
  • Press conference with female supporters of Sarah Palin.
  • Press conference with Joe Leiberman and Eric Cantor, I believe, who will call on Barack Obama to condemn comments by Obama’s Florida spokesman that say Sarah Palin was a Nazi sympathizer.
  • There is also a website that has been put up in her defense…I didn’t catch the URL but will post it when I have it….and there’s more to come in the days ahead.

Despite all of this, I think we have a Nation that is looking forward to hearing what she has to share tonight at the Republican National Convention.

The Convention Begins - CauseGreater.com

Monday, September 1st, 2008

The Republican National Convention has begun, and I just listened to a brief introduction by Laura Bush and Cindy McCain, then watched the footage showing each of the Governors in affected areas speaking.

The most important bit of information I want to share is the website with places you can send help as you see need and feel the pull to do so.

The site is http://www.CauseGreater.com.

To Convention or Not to Convention…

Monday, September 1st, 2008

…that is the question.  I have read absurd things eluding to Hurricane Gustov being an act of God against the Republicans…ugh. Frankly, the first couple days of the Democratic National Convention were nothing to get excited about, and if we as a Nation can be focusing on our friends in the south, offering our help where needed, and prayer, it is a far greater thing than politics….there’s plenty of time for politics in the days to come.

As my husband says, if anything negative happens in New Orleans, the naysayers will find a way for it to be “the current administrations” fault, and if not, somehow there will be something to blame on the Republican administration, if possible.  Actually I’m hoping for better than that.

I am looking forward to seeing the ultimate affect of Hurricane Gustov on the Republican National Convention, sometimes the unscripted things in life can bring about it’s greatest moments…this is what I’m counting on….already hearing of McCain and convention organizers setting up telethons to help our friends in the South.

Laura Bush will speak about the hurricane relief later today, plans are still in the making for how the Convention will work.  Cindy McCain will be teaming up with her.  Most of the speeches by President Bush and VP Cheney have been canceled…more later.

Watching, waiting, praying.

The Wait is On for Republican VP

Friday, August 29th, 2008

Now it’s the Roublican’s turn.  Who will McCain pick?  Great job of keeping a secret, McCain.  They are already saying “no” to my picks, unless you have a surprise up your sleeve.  So far they say no to Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Pawlenty…so who is left?

Tom Ridge…Leiberman…Sarah Palin…Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay? These are names being tossed around this morning, as for the woman, I have to admit I don’t know much about them…in fact, so little I’m not even sure I spelled “Meg Whitman” right, I sell on eBay, but don’t know a thing about the CEO…I’ll have to do my homework. Waiting…..
